Hastily drawn late one night after a cartoonist fell in love with a roller derby girl, Ava Guardin' Her began her existance as merely a sketch...Day by day, draft after draft, her image became more complex, more defined, and the two dimensional Ava quickly began to take on a personality of her own. Her lanky frame came into sharper focus and the skates on her feet appeared to slide off the paper as the creater sank deeper and deeper into madness, obsessed with perfectly capturing her form. She seemed to speak in veiled, angry whispers, begging to be set free...

In a ritual involving candles and gin, black cats and WD-40, she was released from the confinements of ink and line. She fled from that cursed pen, leaving only a scattered trail of drawing papers in her wake. Her still primitive mind knew nothing of this dimension's fear and pain. She had only the skates on her feet to take her away from danger until she was finally tamed by the North Tonawanda Alley Kats and given direction, focus, and drive for the first time.

Now, Ava Guards many things...her past...her heart...her intentions...but most of all, she is Guardin' Her team.
